Bound in one volume, contemporary blue cloth, spine faded, back cover a bit stained, internally good. 432pp., plates, includes 500 games, mostly in algebraic notation, some annotated, problems, endgames. With a bookplate of Sir Richard Clarke, KCB OBE (1910-1975), who was a high-ranking civil servant and also devised the BCF grading system.
A truly international monthly magazine with news from around the world, book reviews, letters etc. Very scarce. LN 5976. ALSO bound at end are 4 issues of L'Echiquier from the 1930's.
