DESCRIPTION

"Mr.Blackburne's Games at Chess (Selected, annotated and arranged by himself)" edited by P. Anderson Graham. Published in hardback by Longmans, Green & Co in 1899. First Edition. 331pp. The book is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean. There is a tiny area of surface loss (the gilt lettering to 'B' and 'A' has been slightly erased) on the spine area and a razor sharp cut (see scan). The page edge blocks are tanned from age and handling. The internal pages are clean however a previous owner has added in pencil some dates (the last one appears to be 1918!) next to the start of numerous games (presumably a reminder to himself of the last date he played through that game - see scans). No dustjacket, as published. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Heavy! Approx.unpacked weight: 965g. 'Signed For' postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £5.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra- please ask me for details.
