"H.E. Atkins - Doyen of British Chess Champions" by R.N Coles. Published in hardback by Isaac Pitman in 1952. First Edition. 144pp. Betts 29-14. The book is in Good Plus overall condition for its age. The book is tightly bound and stands straight, with no shelf lean. The internal pages are all very clean, unmarked and foxing free. The book is inscription free. The page edge blocks have moderately tanned from age and handling. The dustjacket is in Good condition. It is complete but has strong scuffing on the rear cover plus staining to the front cover (see scan). The front cover stains may clean up but to get to them would require removing the protective cover of the dustjacket which is currently held in place by small adhesive pads. The dustjacket also has a couple of small closed tears and creases and two tiny specks on the spine (see scan). Games are in English descriptive notation. A scarce and sought after chess book, especially with its dustjacket. Further scanned images are available on request. 'Signed For' postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £4.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. Any questions, please just ask.
