"The British Chess Magazine, 1900". Published in hardback by Trubner & Co in 1900. First Edition. Volume 20. 516pp. Includes index. The volume is in Good overall condition. The condition of the volume is twofold: Inside (Very Good) and Outside (Fair). Inside first: The binding is very strong and the is no shelf lean. There is light foxing to the pastedowns and endpapers but this depredation quickly peters out. The page edge blocks have tanned but this appears to be from age only. The volume is inscription free. Internally I would grade the volume as being in Very Good condition, considering it is 120 years old. Outside: As can be seen from the scanned images the leather binding along the spine has been severely damaged and also the tips of leather on both boards. I would grade the boards of the volume as being in Fair condition. The boards and leather are black in colour and I'm not sure if this was the BCM colour of choice in 1900 or if this is private binding. Scarce. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Heavy! 'Signed For' postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £5.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. Any questions, please just ask.
