Private half linen binding without print. 480 pages + 2 beautiful group photos between pages 8-9, of the 2 Saint Petersburg 1909 Tournaments, the International won by Rubinstein although tied with Lasker (defeated by Rubinstein in the game that faced them), and the 6th All-Russian Championship won by Alekhine + 5 1/2 page folding chart between pages 160-161. Index in pages 475-480. The folding chart, and the pages 247-250 and 345-352 they are double-sided photocopies, perfectly bound in their correct position. Bound without covers. 25 x 16,7 cm. In Russian.

Good: Defects in the binding, visible in the photos, and with tears in the paper at the edges. Remains of a library pocket on the inside of the front cover. Printed stamp cut at the bottom margin of pages 1-2, 17-18 and 479-480, without affecting the text. Some games number marked in red ink. Some foxing stains, most visible on pages 42-44, 135 and 412-420. Very few light pencil annotations (probably erasable) on pages 116 and 259. As mentioned, the next 12 pages are good double-sided photocopies: 247-250 and 345-352, as well as the large fold-out between pages 161-162 (it is only the original first "page" preserved). Despite the defects mentioned, a copy in good condition, preserving the 2 precious group photos.

Since the first year 1891 was published with the Title "Шашечница" (L/N 6314; 256 Sakharov-2; Di Felice 2439) L/N and Di Felice give a code for the first year and a different one for the following years. However, Shakharov-2 gives only one code.

1891 - 1st Year (with Titlte "Шашечница"): numbers 1-6. Ed. by P. P. Bobrov & D. I. Sargin.

1892 - 2nd Year: numbers 7-18. Ed. by P. P. Bobrov & D. I. Sargin. Although in Sakharov-2 Sargin is mentioned as sole Editor/Publisher since number 17 of 1892, on the final pages of numbers 17 (page 408) and 18 (page 438) of 1892, both, Bobrov and Sargin, sign as Editors/Publishers. However, on the last page (46) of number 19 of the following year 1893, only Sargin signs as Editor/Publisher.

1893 - 3rd Year: numbers 19-30. Ed. by D. I. Sargin.

1901 - 4th Year: numbers 31-42. Ed. by P. P. Bobrov.

1902 - 5th Year: numbers 43-54. Ed. by P. P. Bobrov.

1903 - 6th Year: numbers 55-66.

1904 - 7th Year: numbers 67-78. Ed. by P. P. Bobrov. According to Sakharov-2, the promised numbers 77/78 didn't come out.

1909 - 8th Year: numbers 79-90. Ed. by P. P. Bobrov.

1910 - 9th Year: numbers 91-95. Ed. by P. P. Bobrov.

In 2010, on EBAY, a copy missing pages 3-14, as well as number 90 (December, including the Index), was sold for $ 460, and posibly also the folding chart and the 2 group photos, since they were not mentioned in the auction.
