DESCRIPTION

"SCHACH-OLYMPIADE 1960" LEIPZIG

SIGNED BY 22 PLAYERS!!

 

Turnierprogramm: "XIV. Schach-Olympiade MANNSCHAFTS-WELTMEISTERSCHAFT 1960". 16. Oktober bis 9. November im Ring-Messehaus - Leipzig.

Leipzig, Fédération Internationale des Echecs (Veranstalter) & Deutscher Schachverband im DTSB (Ausrichter) and printed by Andersen Nexö, 1960. Original softback edition. 32 unnumbered pages. Printed on glossy paper. 29,3 x 20,8 cm. In German.

 

Fair to good: Covers very worn, with numerous wrinkles and rusty staples., the spine very deteriorated with several breaks, and with some slight stains and an important annotation in ink on the back cover. Inside in good condition without writing.

Official program of the Chess Olympiad in Leipzig. Nice illustrations, historical article about the Olympics from London 1927 till Leipzig 1960 and several articles on chess topics. Tournament program. Participating teams.

 

Interestingly, according to the previous owner, it contains 23 signatures, but I only see 22 (unless the unknown signature with a pencil in the lower outer corner counted it as 1 more signature). The signing players are the following:
