The first Slovak chess book. The book contains many different topics - history of chess, history of chess in Czechoslovakia and Slovakia, history of Chess Club Zilina, basics of chess, problem chess, list of Czechoslovak and foreign chess players a chess problemists, FIDE and UJCS (Czechoslovak Chess Union), bibliography of Czechoslovak chess literature and others.

The book was published in a thousand copies and in five different editions:

1) Softcover

2) Half-cloth

3) Hardcover

4) Softcover - luxurious numbered edition

5) Hardcover - luxurious numbered edition

All editions probably in 200 copies.

Condition - Good: private half-cloth binding with glued original front cover (originally it was probably softcover book). The binding is worn. On the first and third page is the stamp of the Prague Chess Club Marshall (Marshall, šachový klub čsl. železničářů Praha). Inside clean with no writings and stamps.
