DESCRIPTION

"CHESS, Sutton Coldfield, Volume 2" edited by B.H. Wood. Sept 1936 - Aug 1937. Magazine issue numbers 13-24, inclusive. 464pp. Includes index. Betts 7-91. This volume is only in Fair condition. The binding was previously compromised to a large extent that a piece of brown leather has been placed along the spine to act as support (see scan). The boards have discolouration marks and surface damage. Internally the volume is in better condition with all the magazines being bound in with their covers. They appear to be all inscription free (previous owner's name in pen on Index page, see scan) but they are quite well read and show handling signs and have the usual strong vertical creases (see scan). The page edge blocks are heavily tanned from age and handling. Games and positions are in English descriptive notation. A reading or reference copy only. Scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £4.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. Any questions, please just ask.
