Grondijs, Harrie: First and Last Days of Paul Morphy by Leona Queyrouze and other Morphyana.
Rijswijk, Rijswijkse Uitgeverij Eigen Beheer (RUEB), 2008. Orig. paperback. 209, (7) pages. Limited edition of 50 copies, signed by the author. This is copy no. 35. Size 20.5cm. 350 grams. In English.
Fine condition: no flaws, like new.
The book contains much unknown or little known information about the life and death of Paul Morphy (1837-1884):
Harrie Grondijs wrote many books, his favorite themes are the endgame studies and the history of chess. I like his books as both the content and form are of high quality. Most of his works are published in low editions, usually numbered and signed by the author - this is a reason why Grondijs books almost do not appear in the market.
