DESCRIPTION

"Selected Chess Masterpieces" by Svetozar Gligorich. Published in hardback Pitman Publishing in 1970. First Edition. Unpaginated but around 150pp. 45 deeply annotated games in English descriptive notation. The book is in Good overall condition. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean. The boards are clean and the silver lettering on the spine is still strong. The top edge block is affected by foxing (see scan) but not the other two. The internal pages are all clean and inscription free. The main depredation with the book is a strong musty smell from poor storage conditions in the past. The dustjacket - which is rare to find on this volume - is also in Good condition. It has a closed tear on the rear panel (see scan) plus creasing and miniscule chipping to note. It is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £2.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. Any questions, please just ask.
