"The World's Great Chess Games" edited by Reuben Fine. Published in hardback by Andre Deutsch in 1952. First UK Edition. 287pp. Betts 24-70. Biographies and 70 annotated games in English descriptive notation. The book and its dustjacket are in Very Good condition for their age. The book boards are very clean and the gilt lettering on the spine is still bright. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean. The page edge block is clean. The internal pages are inscription and foxing free although they have tanned a little, presumably due to a poorer quality of paper used in publication. The dustjacket is complete although it has had a neat repair done to a very small area at the head of the spine whereby a very similar coloured piece of paper has been added to the dustjacket. The result is that you can only tell the difference on careful examination. The remainder of the dustjacket has a couple of tiny speck stains and miniscule chipping to note plus discolouration along the spine. It is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Further scanned images are available on request. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. Any questions, please just ask.
