"CHESS, Sutton Coldfield, Volume 1" edited by B.H. Wood. Sept 1935 - Aug 1936. Magazine issue numbers 1-12, inclusive. 476pp. Includes index. Betts 7-91. The volume is in Good Plus condition. The private, black binding is in good plus condition with no shelf lean. The boards have light discolouration from over the years but the gilt lettering on the spine is still clear. Internally the volume is very clean and inscription free. There are a few specks of foxing on the endpapers but nowhere else in the volume. The first magazine issue has a mild vertical crease but none of the other magazines. There is a small dried liquid stain on the top edge of the pages of the first magazine only (see 10th scan). The magazine covers have not been bound in. PLEASE NOTE: Two internal pages are black and white facsimiles of their original. They have been neatly bound into the volume in their correct numerical position (see 11th and 12th scans). The page edge block is tanned from age. Games and positions are in English descriptive notation. Scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. 'Signed For' postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £5.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. Any questions, please just ask.
