"CHESS, Sutton Coldfield. Volume 13". Bound in publisher's brown hardback. All twelve magazines for Volume 13 (Oct 1947 - Sept 1948, Magazine Numbers 145 to 156, inclusive). First Edition. 292pp. Betts 7-91. No index. The volume is in Good Plus condition, for its age. The binding is good (not tight, there is a little "give" in it) and there is no shelf lean. The covers are very clean. The gilt lettering on the spine is still strong. Internally the volume is very clean and appears to be inscription free. Several magazines have a vertical crease from having been in the post, back in the day. The page edge block is lightly tanned. Free of foxing apart from a few light specks on the first and last couple of pages only. Mild musty odour. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request.
