"CHESS, Sutton Coldfield, Volume 18". Bound in publisher's brown hardback. All twelve magazines for Volume 18 (Oct 1952 - Sept 1953, Magazine Numbers 205 to 216, inclusive). 246pp. Includes index. Betts 7-91. The volume is in Good Minus condition, for its age. The binding is good (not tight, there is a fair amount of "give" in it) and there is no shelf lean. The covers are discoloured, having several light-coloured circle and specks stains on them (see scan). The gilt lettering on the spine has nearly worn away. Internally the volume is clean and appears to be inscription free. The page edge block is tanned. Free of foxing. Mild musty odour. Games are in English descriptive notation.
