DESCRIPTION

"GRAN TORNEO INTERNACIONAL DE AJEDREZ"

"PRESIDENTE PERON" 1955 (Buenos Aires)

CLUB ARGENTINO DE AJEDREZ. 1905 - Bodas de Oro - 1955

Complete set of the 22 Tournament Bulletins + folding Cross-table!!

Ellerman, Arnoldo (Dir.): "GRAN TORNEO INTERNACIONAL DE AJEDREZ "PRESIDENTE PERON". Resultados y Partidas. CLUB ARGENTINO DE AJEDREZ: 1905 - Bodas de Oro - 1955.

Buenos Aires, Club Argentino de Ajedrez, 1955. Original stapled edition of the collected bulletins issued during the tournament + folding Cross-table (attached to Bulletin 17). Complete set with Tournament Bulletins numbered 1 through 17, but there are 5 additional Bulletins dedicated to the continuation of adjourned games: 3-A, 7-A, 10-A, 12-A and 15-A. So in reality, in total, there are 22 Bulletins. Each Bulletin is a Diptych. 24 x 16,3 cm. In Spanish.

Very good to excellent: Minimal and normal defects for Bulletins with this type of paper: slight wrinkles (mainly at the edges), slight browning, light and tiny stains, but honestly nothing remarkable. I honestly think that considering his age and the type of paper, his condition is very good to excellent.

Di Felice 453.1 (Chess Competitions 1824-1970).

Excellent victory for Ivkov. The final classification was: Ivkov 13, Gligoric 12.5, Pilnik 12, Szabo 11.5, Rossetto, Pachman and Bisguier 10, Panno 9.5, Donner 9, Trifunovic, Guimard, Martín and Torán 8, Sanguineti 7.5, Espósito 7, Lipiniks 4, Reinhardt 3, and Benko (Arg.) 2.

A rare and rare set of Bulletins from a Grand Tournament, and with the Cross-table, usually missing!!

The Director of the Bulletin is Arnoldo Ellerman, as can be seen in the photo on the last page of the Program. Please see my other auction: http://www.chesslund.com/detail.asp?id=28230
