This work mainly contains v. d. Lasas notes on the Berlin games from the years 1837 - 1843. On pages 107 - 112 "Documentation of older Berlin games in the Schachzeitung and in Bilguer's Handbuch". In the appendix, pp. 117-155, the games of the Calabrese Greco are in the order of Lasa. Lucena's work can be found on pp. 159-223 with Lucena's XXXV endings. The famous chess theorist Lasa had a library with over 2,250 volumes.
Condition: Privately bound. Stamps on title page. Slight foxing on especially first and last pages. Paper yellowed. With a dedication by v. d. Lasa to Herr Franz on first endpaper.
