Bound in contemporary brown half leather, spine is very rubbed (no lettering visible on spine), some rubbing to sides, binding is still tight. Coloured title-page, pp 416 (including index). Internal condition is very good. With a bookplate of the ECF, Diggle collection.
The foremost English chess periodical of the mid-19th century.
