The Chess Player's Chronicle. Vol.2, 4-6, 8-13. 1841, 1843-1852. Edited by Howard Staunton.
10 volumes, uniformly bound in contemporary brown half leather, gold bands to spine, black labels with gilt lettering, marbled paper sides, spines are rubbed, covers slightly so, bindings are tight. Each volume has around 400 pages, with coloured title-page, and index. Internal condition is good. Each volume has a bookplate of the ECF (English Chess Federation) Diggle collection, with a "withdrawn" stamp. They are duplicates of the main ECF library.
A rare chance to obtain a good number of volumes in a nice uniform binding. If this collection is not sold I will consider selling the volumes separately next time.
The foremost English chess periodical of the mid-19th century.
If successful I will email with the best shipping options.
