"De eerste Schaakmatch USA - USSR, 1945" by Hans Kmoch. Published in softback in circa 1945. No date. In Dutch language and algebraic notation. L/N 5142. First Edition. 44pp. The booklet is in Very Good conditon for its age. The binding is tight and it is free of foxing. The covers have faded along the spine and to the booklet extremities (see scan). Internally the pages have tanned from the poorer quality of paper available during WW2. However, I've handled a few of these booklets and this one is in the best condition I've seen. It's very clean and inscription free. Looks largely unread. An iconic chess title that covers one of the great shocks in 1940s chess. USSR won decisively 15.5 - 4.5.
