Chess Monthly 1882/83 (Volume IV., incomplete)
London 1882-1883. Contemporary half-cloth, spine lettered. IV (=title, index) + pages 129-380. Size ca 23.5 cm. The weight 590 grams. LN 6138, Betts 7-25. In English.
Fair: binding rubbed, front cover and spine loose from the book-block. Whitened stamp of the previous owner stamp on inner cover (problem composer and collector Ilja Mikan). Title/contents pages are loose from the book-block. Text is OK, pages occasionally a little stained, occasional pencil marks.
This magazine contains 8 issues from January to August 1883. The first 4 issues of this volume from September to December 1882 are missing (pages 1-128).
The Chess Monthly was published in London 1879-1896.
