Johannes Kohtz (1843-1918) and Carl Kockelkorn (1843-1914) were German problem composers and founders of the New German School. Their joint problems were of a logical nature, among others, the Roman idea. The compositions were created between 1861 and 1868. With this edition, the authors want to remedy the lack of German problems that had existed until then.
