"CHESS, Sutton Coldfield Vol 34" edited by B.H.Wood. Bound in publisher's brown hardback in 1969. First Edition. 340pp. Magazine issue numbers 563 (Oct 1968) - 586 (Aug 1969). Includes index. Condition is Good for its age. The binding is tight and the volume has no shelf lean. The gilt lettering on the spine is still bright. The volume is free of foxing and the page edge block is tanned and has a stain on it. The volume appears to be inscription free apart from the very occasional pencilled tick at the start of a couple of annotated games. Magazine covers are not bound in. The boards are reasonably clean (see scans, two small stains visible on the front board and a very small speck on the spine). The internal pages are of variable quality and the volume has a mild musty odour to it. The main depredation with the volume is a dark staining that appears to be dried liquid that affects the page edge block and the corners of approx. pages 80-130 (see scans). Slipped into the volume is a signed letter from B.H.Wood to a subscriber, thanking him for recent correspondence (see scan). Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM CUSTOMERS IN THE EU AREA (and the USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (NB. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of the GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
