Good to very good: light general signs of use, note in old pencil on the front side.

The photo is from the Congress of North-West County of Central Union of Czechoslovak Chess Players (UJCS).

Shared winners were O’Kelly and Pirc, 8 of 11, followed by Ujtelky, Sajtar etc., 12 players round robin. Picture 3 shows the crosstable.of the tournament.

The persons in the photo are, according to Ceskoslovensky sach:

Sitting from the left: Sajtar, Louma (organizer), O’Kelly, Dobias, Hromadka, Pirc.

Standing from the left: Pytlakowski, Alster, Lukes, Stein (organizer), Stulik, Ujtelky, Koessler.

Biographical data of some participants:

Alberic O'Kelly de Galway (1911-1980), Belgian GM, 13x champion of Belgium, third World champion in Correspondence chess (1962).

Vasja Pirc (1907-1982), Slovenian GM, 5x Yugoslav champion between 1935-1953, noted theoretician.

Maxmilian (Max) Ujtelky (1915-1979), Slovak IM, Czechoslovak co-champion in 1960, he was by the way a direct descendant of Hungarian composer Ferenc Liszt.

Jaroslav Sajtar (1921-2003), Czech master, FIDE vice-president in 1954-1974, honorary FIDE GM.
