According to the description in Ceskoslovensky sach, the persons in the photo are (from the left):

Thun, Altschul, Opočensky, Alster, Nevole, Z. Novak, Stocek (arbiter), Augustin, Letz, Cernik (organizer), Maroszczyk, Skokan, Cucka, Pithart, Skyva

Picture 3 shows the cross-table of the tournament. The winner was Augustin, 14 players round robin.

 

Biographical data of some participants:

Josef Augustin (born 1942), Czech IM, Czechoslovak champion 1965.

Zbynek Novak (born 1934), Czech player, participated in World Student championships 1956 and 1959

Ladislav Alster (1927-1991), Czechoslovak champion in 1956, was a member of team which won world student championship in Oslo 1954, took part in chess olympiad Moscow 1956.

Karel Opocensky (1892-1975), strong chess master, author of several books. His best years were 1920s and 1930s: 4 times Czechoslovak champion (1927, 1929, 1938, 1944). He took part in chess olympiads 1931, 1933, 1935 and 1939. At the 1933 chess olympiad made Opocensky 12,5 points of 14 and helped considerably to the 2nd place of the Czechoslovak team.

Frantisek Pithart (1915-2003), Czech master (since 1951) and noted trainer. One of the best Czech players after wws. He participated many times in the finals of Czechoslovak championships - his best results were 2x shared third place in 1955 and 1965. He represented Czechoslovakia in the chess olympiad Helsinki 1952 and in European team championship 1957. Author of many books and articles.
