DESCRIPTION

"Chess Strategy" by Edward Lasker. Published in hardback by Bell and Sons in 1931. 282pp. Reprint. Betts 11-22. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. The book is in Very Good condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no bowing present. The book has a marked shelf lean. The boards are reasonably clean with just age related fading and mild scuffing to note. No dustjacket. The author's signature is in fountain pen at the end of a dated dedication on the half-title page. Internally the book is very clean and annotation and foxing free. The page edge block is evenly tanned from age but is clean. There is a small dried liquid stain in the gutter of the first few pages (see scan) but this quickly disappears. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM CUSTOMERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual. Any questions, please just ask.
