"Chess the Hard Way!" by D.A.Yanofsky. Published in hardback by Pitman and Sons in 1953. First Edition. 149pp. Betts 29-153. A nice copy of this quite scarce chess title. The book is in Very Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight, the book stands straight and has no shelf lean or bowing. The internal pages are all very clean and inscription free and the book looks largely unread. The book is free of foxing. The page edge blocks are very clean. The dustjacket is in Very Good condition. It has light creases and scuffing but no tears or pieces missing (although it is price-clipped, front & rear). It is now protected by a superior 'Gaylord' removable see-through sleeve. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
