One of the most desired Tournament books

Chemnitz, Deutschen Arbeiter-Schachbund, 1923. Original half-linen binding with illustrated front cover. 69 pages (including Title page) + Index page + 3 group photos. 22,5 x 14,7 cm. In German.
Good to very good: On the front cover there is a "label" with the number 67 attached. Some slight flaw on the covers, like a very slight wrinkle in the upper outer corner of the front cover, and some kind of stain on the back cover. On the Title page there is a stamp of the "Schachklub Schönbrunn". Slight foxing on some pages. General browning, more accentuated around the edges. Some numbers in the head of the games written with pencil easily erasable. A small stain on page 48 (game 39). Slight and small stain, with a kind of pressure notch, in the upper part of the outer lateral edge, affecting pages 50-51, and minimally the adjoining pages. Small fold in the upper outer corner of pages 61-62. Otherwise, a book in very good condition, and very pleasant in the hands.

The group photos show the participants and scenes from the tournament. The edition contains, among other things, a report on the development of the event, a selection of 56 games from the Tournament, and 40 selected problems from the Problem Tournament.
In good condition this book usually sells for around 350-400 EUR (tax included), as in the Klittich 61 auction (lot 1280 for 369,15 EUR). In fact, in worse condition it does not usually fall below 200-300 EUR, as in the Klittich 44 auction (lot 1187 for 246,10 EUR without the original binding), as in the Klittich 58 auction (lot 1049 for 270,71 EUR with a missing group photo), as in the Klittich 74 auction (lot 1086 for 295,32 EUR with pages 47-48 missing), or as in the Klittich 79 auction (lot 1182 for 184,58 EUR with defects in the photos group and with water stains).
