Fair: General tan, stronger around the edges. Vertical fold, and also some less visible horizontal fold. Annotation of the year "1958" at the top of page 1, as well as 2 or 3 minimal corrections in ink of any move or text. In some area the text (such as "faded") is read with some difficulty, although with effort it is possible to read it completely.

The tournament was known as the Caltex-Scheepjes tournament after two of the sponsors: Caltex Petroleum Maatschappij (the Dutch branch of the California Texas Oil Corporation) and the Scheepjeswol (a brand of wool) factory from Veenendaal.
