"The Chess Sacrifice" by Vladimir Vukovic. Published in hardback by Bell & Sons in 1968. First UK Edition. 219pp. Betts 19-32. The book is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards are very clean and the gilt lettering on the spine is still bright. The book was formerly the property of the Westminster Public Library in London. There is evidence of the removal of this previous ownership on the endpapers and pastedowns. One stamp could not be removed as it was neatly hole punched on the title page (see scan). Internally the book is clean and appears to be inscription and foxing free. The page edge blocks are tanned from age, particularly the top edge (which has superficial foxing specks on it). The dustjacket is in Very Good condition and is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Games and positions are in English descriptive notation.
