"Wereld-Kampioenschap Schaken, 1948" by Max Euwe. Published in beige hardback by De Tijdstroom in 1948. First Edition. 252 large pages. LN: 5732. The book is in Very Good condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards are clean although there are linear line marks on the front board (see scans) and other to a lesser extent on the rear board. The brown lettering on the front board is still very clear. The book is annotation and foxing free. There is an unknown signature on the half-title page and I am unsure if this is simply a previous owner's name or a well known chess player (see scan). The page edge blocks are clean albeit evenly tanned from age. Internally the pages are very clean and unmarked (apart from shadow marks on both endpapers) and it is obvious that this book has been well cared for over the years. No dustjacket. Games are given in Dutch language and algebraic notation. Several pages of glossy B&W photos. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
