DESCRIPTION

A vintage "Twin Portman Chess Set" as often seen on sale in 1950s and 1960s issues of "Chess, Sutton Coldfield" magazine. The item is in Good Plus condition for its age and includes it's original envelope which has protected the boards over the years. The covers of the envelope are tanned and scuffed but the impostant thing is that every piece is present and their slots. The envelope also has a short tear along the side edge. Two boards in total. Staple bound. Pieces are made from cardboard. Board size approx 110mm x 110mm. A nice momento of a bygone age. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £2.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
