DESCRIPTION

"AJEDREZ EN GUATEMALA"

By HANS COHN (1947)

Not in L/N!!

Cohn, Hans: "Ajedrez en Guatemala". Por HANS COHN. Con 1 caricatura, 3 fotos y 141 posiciones en diagrama.

Guatemala (Centro América), author's self-edition and printed by Tipografía Nacional, 1947. Original softback edition. 292 pages. 19,2 x 13 cm. In Spanish.

Fair to good: The most important defect is the condition of the covers, especially the front cover, with a missing tear (6 cm high, and 1 cm wide at the top, decreasing towards the bottom) on the outer side edge. The binding is slanted, with many small tears at the edges (some coming loose almost by themselves). The type of paper used, typical of this period, and more so in South and Central America, is relatively fragile and with a tendency to relatively strong darkening at the edges. Pages 19-22 have small tears on the bottom edge and are missing the bottom outside corners (a small triangle less than 1 cm). Otherwise inside in good condition without writings. Although it is not necessary, since it is such a special and rare book, I sincerely recommend its binding, and treating it with great care.

Not in L/N!! Kieler Schachkatalog 833.
