Schellenberg Paul. XVIII. Kongreß des Deutschen Schachbundes, e. V. Breslau 1912. Coburg, Riemann, 1913. Pages 202. In German. Two nice group photos. LN 5310. Exlibris Frantisek Treybal.
The book is signed by the Czech master Frantisek Treybal on the front cover and on the title page. Frantisek Treybal (1882-1947) was the second official Czech chess champion. He won this title at the congress of the Czech Chess Association in Brno 1907 (the first Czech champion was Oldrich Duras in Prague 1905). He was also the winner of the 1907 Berliner Schachgesellschaft tournament and took part in the first international tournament in Prague 1908, where he did not play well but beat Dawid Janowski. Older brother of the better known Czech master Karel Treybal.
Condition - Good: private binding with original cover glued on the front, binding is a bit bent, the page with the second photo is cut a little more, so some of the names are not visible, sporadically a little stained.
