DESCRIPTION

"I. SKANDINAVISCH-DEUTSCHES NATIONALMANNSCHAFTSTURNIER

um den Großenbrode-Wagrien-Waderpokal" 1970

Lüders, Horst: "I. Skandinavisch - deutsches Nationalmannschaftsturnier um den Grossenbrode-Wagrien-Wanderpokal". Ostseebad Grossenbrode (Strandhalle) 12. - 14. April 1970.

Grossenbrode, Deutscher Schachbund e. V., 1970. Original ringband edition. 1st Sheet unnumbered, with the Greeting of the Mayor of Ostseebad Grossenbrode on the verso, and on the recto the presentation of the Tournament by Horst Lüders, the International Referee of the competition + 2nd Sheet unnumbered written only on the verso (it is the Title Page, and at the same time page 1) + 3rd Sheet numbered written only on the verso (it is page 2, with the greeting of Horst Lüders) + 3-18 pages (written on both sides) + last Sheet unnumbered, with two photos of the Tournament on the verso, and on the recto 4 press releases + advertising inside back cover. Typescript. 30 x 21,2 cm. In German.

Good to very good: Some slight flaws on the covers, but nothing particularly important. On the front cover, after the Title, the year "1970" is noted in pencil (it seems), and a few tiny foxing spots on both corners of the lower edge. Inside in very good condition.

Di Felice 2695.1.

First edition of a competition played by 4 teams, won with authority by Germany BR (Federal Republic of Germany), ahead of Sweden, Norway and Schleswig-Holstein (German state that borders Denmark). The Bulletin contains the 48 games of the Tournament, as well as some brief comments after each game, and a small chronicle of each Round. This competition was one of the last tournaments in which Friedrich Sämisch participated.
