Madrid, EDITORIAL "AJEDREZ ESPAÑOL, S. A.", 1946. Original softback edition. 122 pages (including 1st blank and Title page) + 5 publisher unnumbered pages. 18,5 x 13,6 cm. In Spanish.
Good: Covers with some defects, as some small foxing stain and some light soiling. Spine formerly repaired with cellophane. Normal slight browning on the edges of the pages, and some foxing or small stains on the outer edge of the pages. Some light wrinkles. Inside in good condition.
L/N 5145; Di Felice 2841.1.
Radiotelegraphic match to 15 boards, with narrow victory of Spain by 8-7. Pomar was the 1st board for Spain, and Pilnik for Argentina.
The book includes a first historical part, with the preparations for the Match. A second part with the 15 games of the Match commented, including 16 drawings-portraits, 15 of all the Spanish players, and also that of Pilnik, 1st board of Argentina. And a third part with news from the Spanish press.
