Chess Player's Chronicle, The. (New Series). Volume II: 1878.
London, 1878. Contemporary cloth, lettering on the front cover: Chess Problems. IV (title/index) + 288 pages. Size ca 23 cm. The weight 510 grams. LN 6126. Betts 7-23. Di Felice 618. In English.
Fair to good: binding a little cocked, rear cover a little spotted at top, top of spine a little worn. Front free endpaper browned, with a few pen annotations. There is a brown stain at the top of all pages from the beginning up to page 80. Text is OK with no writings, with occasional minor flaws but nothing serious.
Complete volume, 12 numbers including title/index. No plates were published this year, the covers are not bound in.
The magazine was published in London from 1877 to 1902, with some breaks. From 1877-1880 a monthly, from 1881 a weekly.
