L'Italia scacchistica 1924
complete volume incl. title/index + 3 plates
Italia scacchistica (L'). Year 1924.
Firenze 1924. Contemporary binding, spine lettered. IV (=title, index) + 192 pages + 3 plates. Size ca 24 cm. The weight 430 grams. LN 6186, Di Felice 1185. In Italian.
Fair: binding is soiled. Bottom corners a little bumped. Spine torn a few centimetres at the rear outer joint, but holding well. Title page is a little spotted and about 0.5 cm shorter than the other leaves. Pages occasionally a little stained/soiled, but nothing serious. One leaf (p.83/84) torn at the top about 4 cm (not interfering into the text). A few notes in old pencil on page 3, otherwise text with no writings.
Complete volume XIV, 12 numbers including title/index and all three plates published in this year. The covers are not bound in.
The plates show:
- group photo of the Merano 1924 international tournament
- group photo of the Folina 1924 national Tournament
- group photo of the first unofficial Olympiad in Paris 1924.
L'Italia scacchistica has been published monthly since 1911. For auction are first 4 issues of volume 5
