"H.E. Atkins - Doyen of British Chess Champions" by R.N. Coles. Published in hardback by Isaac Pitman in 1952. First Edition. 144pp. Betts 29-14. The book is in Fair overall condition for its age. The book is tightly bound and stands straight, with no shelf lean. The book is inscription free. The vast majority of the internal pages are clean apart from light foxing to the endpapers. The page edge blocks are heavily tanned. The dustjacket is a COLOUR FACSIMILE of the original and is in Fair condition. It has yellow discolouration from the copying process and strong scuffing. It is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. The book boards are a little bowed but this defect might be corrected by a period of time under a heavy weight. A reading copy only. Scarce. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
