"CHESS, Sutton Coldfield, Volume 14" edited by B.H.Wood. Bound in publisher's brown hardback. All twelve magazines for Volume 14 (Oct 1948 - Sept 1949. Magazine Numbers 157 to 168, inclusive). 248pp. Includes index. Betts 7-91. The volume is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards are reasonably clean (an area of light speckling on the rear board and a single white speck on the front board to note. See scans). The gilt lettering on the spine has completely faded away. Internally the magazine covers are not bound in. The pages are clean and inscription free although they do have the often seen vertical crease from having been in the post back in the day. The page edge block is tanned. Free of foxing. Mild musty odour. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
