"CHESS, Sutton Coldfield, Volume 7" edited by B.H.Wood. Bound in brown hardback (a shade lighter than the publishers brown). All twelve magazines for Volume 7 (Oct 1941 - Sept 1942. Magazine Numbers 73 to 84, inclusive). 188pp. Includes index and title page. Betts 7-91. The volume is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards are reasonably clean (small scuff marks but nothing major. See scans). The gilt lettering on the spine is just about still visible, see scan. Internally the magazine covers are not bound in. The pages are clean and inscription free although they do have the often seen vertical crease from having been in the post back in the day. The pages have tanned over the years from the poorer quality of paper available during WW2. The page edge block is tanned. Shop sticker on the inside of the front board. Free of foxing apart from areas on the pastedowns and endpapers (see scans). Mild musty odour. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
