"David Bronstein's Best Games of Chess, 1944-49" by Larry Evans. Published in softback by the author as "Tournament Limited Edition No.2" in 1950. First Edition. Betts 29-21. SIGNED on the title page by GM Larry Evans. Numbered 40 in an limited edition of 500. 70 + 10 large pages. The booklet is in Good condition for its age. There are clear sellotape repairs to the tail of the spine and the right, bottom edge of the front cover plus the next 3 pages in the same area. After this the volume is free of any damage and is very well preserved. The front cover has a short closed tear at the bottom of the front cover and a couple of black coloured specks on it. The covers were made from similar paper to the internal pages and this has resulted in mild evidence of the front cover having been thumbed open, over the years. The page edge block is tanned from age. After the first 3 pages the booklet is very clean and inscription/annotation and foxing free. Contains biography plus 39 annotated games in English descriptive notation. Stencilled printed on recto leaves only. Scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £2.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
