"The Anglo-Soviet Radio Chess Match" by E.Klein and W.Winter. Published in hardback by Isaac Pitman and Sons in 1947. First Edition. 119pp. Betts 26-5. The book is in Very Good condition for its age. The internal pages are all very clean and unmarked but a little tanned, from age only. The binding is tight. The boards are very clean and there is no bowing present. The book is inscription and annotation free and has clearly been well cared for over the years. The page edge block is lightly tanned, again from age only. The publishers managed to acquire some semi-glossy paper for this volume and this has largely offset the page "browning" effect seen in so many chess books from just after WW2. The dustjacket is in Good condition. It is complete but has quite strong scuffing to note and a couple of miniscule chips (see scans). It has, however, protected the volume well over the years. There is a shop sticker on the front pastedown. Games are in English descriptive notation. The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Quite scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £2.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
