DESCRIPTION

"Budapest, 1950 (The First Candidates Tournament)" by Edgar Cordingley. Published in hardback by The Students Chess Quarterly in 1951. First Edition. Betts 25-197. 90pp. Published as volume 18 in a series of Limited Editions of Tournament Books. Stamped as Number 150 in an edition of 360 (Betts). The booklet is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The green boards are clean with just a little white discoluration to note on the front board. Internally the volume is clean and inscription/annotation and foxing free. The pages have tanned with age, presumably due to the poorer quality of paper available so soon after WW2. The page edge block is tanned from age. The endpapers and pastedowns are browned. Quite scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £2.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
