"The British Chess Magazine, 1913" edited by Isaac Brown. Published by Trubner & Co. Privately bound in black hardback. Volume 33. First Edition. 500pp. Includes index. The volume is in Good Plus condition for its age (109 years!). The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards are clean and the gilt lettering on the spine is still readable. The boards have a little, superficial damage but this is entirely commensurate with age. Internally the volume is, again, everything you would expect from a book of this age. There are creases and occasional small smudge marks but, overall, it is in Good Plus condition. The majority of the internal pages have a vertical crease from having been in the post back in the day (see scans). The red marbled page edge block is clean. There are a few areas of light foxing on some internal pages but nothing of real concern. Page 137 has some penned annotations dated 26/6/1915 (see scan) but I could not find any other annotations in the volume. Page 429 has a rare, large, stain that has transferred onto the opposite page (see scan). Further scanned images are available on request. 'Signed For' postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £5.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
