"The British Chess Magazine, 1915" edited by Isaac Brown. Published by Trubner & Co. Bound in maroon hardback. Volume 35. First Edition. 440pp. Includes index. The volume is in Fair condition for its age. The boards are faded and scuffed with a few small white-coloured paint-like stains on the spine (see scans). The binding is very shaky although there are no loose pages. There is no bowing present. The page edge block is faded from age. The gilt lettering on the spine has totally faded the words "British Chess Magazine" but, oddly, the year "1915" is still readable. Internally the pages are in Good, clean condition with the occasional smudge mark or small stain that is entirely commensurate with age. The front and rear endpapers and pastedowns are quite stained in this regard but the vast majority of the volume pages are clean and inscription/annotation and foxing free. Not in the best of condition but still a scarce WW1 volume of the BCM which is seldom seen. Formerly the property of Leeds (England) Chess Club. Further scanned images are available on request. 'Signed For' postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £5.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
