Jan Sefc, Jiri Fichtl, Miroslav Filip, Julius Kozma, Josef Rejfir, Frantisek Pithart

Biographical data:

Jan Sefc (1924-2014), strong Slovak master, professional chess trainer (Ftacnik, Stohl), chess writer and teacher.

Jiri Fichtl (1922-2003), Czech IM, one of the best Czechoslovak players in 1950s-60s, 2x Czechoslovak champion. In 1954-1962, he played in 5 olympiads.

Miroslav Filip (1928-2009), Czech GM, the best Czechoslovak player in 1950s, one of world's best chess players around 1960, World Championship Candidate 1956 and 1962. Multiple Czechoslovak chess champion. He played in 12 olympiads, 194 olympic games in all, with the overall result (+62 =104 –28). Miroslav Filip is also well known as an arbiter (Karpov - Korchnoi, Baguio 1978, women world championships etc).

Julius Kozma (1929-2009), Slovak IM, one of the best Slovak players for years. Noted chess writer, journalist, author of several books. 

Josef Rejfir (1909-1962), one of the strongest Czech players before wws. He played on 7 Chess olympiads: 5x between 1928-1938, and then in 1956 and 1958. 

Frantisek Pithart (1915-2003), Czech master (since 1951) and noted trainer. One of the best Czech players after wws. He participated many times in the finals of Czechoslovak championships - his best results were 2x shared third place in 1955 and 1965. He represented Czechoslovakia in the chess olympiad Helsinki 1952 and in European team championship 1957. Author of many books and articles.
