1st Edn. Original stapled card covers, covers are soiled, a tiny corner missing, inside is very good. 38pp., including 8pp photos. Includes an account of previous cable chess matches between Great Britain and America from 1896 to 1911, Anglo-American Universities' cable matches from 1899 to 1910, and two other matches, biographies and selected games of the London team and short biographies of the Chicago team, plus details of rules and officials. Results and games are not given for the current match but London won 4-2. A scarce item. LN 5073.
