DESCRIPTION

"The Modern Two-Move Chess Problem" by Comins Mansfield and Brian Harley. Published in hardback by Museum Press in 1958. First Edition. 157pp. Betts 34-14. The book is in Very Good condition for its age and has clearly been very well cared for over the years. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards are very clean. The page edge blocks are clean. There is a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown. Internally the book is very clean and looks largely unread. It is free of foxing. The dustjacket is in Good Plus condition. It has a tiny area of loss at the head of the spine and a small area of loss on the rear panel. Both these areas have been neatly camouflaged by the affixing of a coloured paper behind the dustjacket. The result is pleasing, imho. See scans. The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Positions are given in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £2.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
