Contemporary red half leather, spine neatly rebacked with a dark red tape, lettering on front cover but not spine, new endpapers, good. pp viii, 446. 257 problems by numerous composers, plus 108 by Spanish composers. A lengthy treatise on chess problems. Paper slightly yellowed. With an inscription of Philip H. Williams, Feb. 1901, and a bookplate of the British Chess Problem Society, presented by Mrs. P.H. Williams. LN 2514.
