"Tigran Petrosian: His Life and Games" by Vik Vasiliev. Published in hardback by Batsford in 1974. First UK Edition. 247pp. The book is in Good Minus condition for its age. The binding is tight although there is a marked shelf lean present. The boards are clean and have no bowing. The majority of the internal pages are clean but quite a few have speck stains or handling marks. A few also have the corner of the page "dog earred". The book is inscription and annotation free. The main depredation that is obvious upon picking up the book is an ugly edge block, particularly on the long side. Someone in the past has handled the book with grubby hands and the result is left for history to see (see scans). The dustjacket is in Good Plus condition. It suffers from a tiny area of loss at the tail of the spine (see scan) and some very light scuffing and creasing to the rear panel. The coloured lettering on the spine has faded, as usual. The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. A good reading copy only. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request.
